Chamber Board Member
My name is Michael Allen, but most of the town knows me as Bubba. I have had that nickname since I was around 1 year old. I was born in Beloit but moved to Concordia in 2nd grade. I graduated from Concordia High School and Cloud County Community College, and later Emporia State University with a degree in Psychology. I worked case management for Pawnee mental health for a couple of years. I spent 14 years working with adjudicated youth in a positive peer culture environment. I moved back to Concordia and worked at Tipton Academy, another facility for troubled kids for a couple of years before starting as the assistant manager for The Majestic Theatre. I have been the manager there for over 15 years. I have always loved Concordia, first because it is Home, and second because of the wonderful caring community.

Chamber Board Member, Manager of Wall to Wall
I studied Business, Psychology, and Music at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus. I have also completed a plethora of programs and courses in sales, marketing, customer service, and life coaching.
Currently, I am managing the daily sales and operations of Wall to Wall Carpet & Interior's Concordia location. My career industries have canvassed clothing retail, nutraceutical products, sports, agriculture, and flooring. Although my industries are vast, I've learned that people are generally the same everywhere and my strengths are in customer service, sales, project management, systems development, and training.
I have volunteered many years on football and wrestling booster boards, and on church committees and ministries. One of my passions is helping kids who are aging out of the foster care system. I enjoy learning to play the acoustic guitar and fiddle along with my favorite tunes, or sometimes writing my own.
I have been married for 24 years, I have been a mom and caregiver to four wonderful children and a nephew.
